Expansion of Wastewater Treatment Plant

  • Completion: 2014
  • Location: Hurlingham Buenos Aires (Argentina)
  • Client: AYSA

With more than 300,000 inhabitants benefited, this project is much more than a public service. It is an improvement in the quality of life of thousands of neighbors who, until now, did not have an efficient sewage system.

The plant expansion involves the construction of a new medium-load activated sludge module with a nominal flow rate of 0.9 m³/s and, in the future, it is planned to further expand the plant with another similar module of 0.9 m³/s and a remodeling of the pre-existing plant.

The treatment included a loading chamber, de-silting, primary settling and a biological stage (aeration tanks and clarifiers).
