Provincial Route N° 9 - Formosa

  • Completion: 2011
  • Location: Formosa (Argentina)
  • Client: DPV Formosa and UCFE

Provincial Route No. 9 is located in a flat area with agricultural and livestock farms and crosses the province from east to west.

It also serves the economic activities that have grown the most in the province of Formosa (agriculture and livestock). In the Colonia Cano-El Colorado section, the main activity is agriculture, especially rice, where the area planted has increased and is expected to continue its exponential growth in the coming years.

The incorporation of the structural package along the entire length of the work, together with adjustments to the computation of the longitudinal runoff and its lateral culverts, is what gives rise to the present modification of the work.

In the present modification, the construction of flexible pavement along the entire route is contemplated. Likewise, the calculations regarding the longitudinal runoff of the work are adjusted with the incorporation of 18 lateral culverts type H-1900 Bis.

The works were completed with the execution of specially compacted shoulders, with the provision of soil from borrowed materials and with horizontal and vertical signaling for traffic safety purposes.
