Provincial Route No. 126 Section: Provincial Route No. 23 (Sauce) - National Route No. 119 (Curuzú Cuatiá)

  • Completion: December 2024
  • Location: Central and South Corrientes (Argentina) Locations.
  • Client: Dirección Provincial de Vialidad

Provincial Route Nº 126 is a very important road in the southern area of the province. It runs in a general direction from west to east and has a total length of approximately 215 km. It belongs to the primary network of the Province and connects through such total length the National Route Nº 12 with the National Route Nº 14.

The above mentioned routes are trunk roads of the National Network, and run along the entire length of the province, bordering the Paraná and Uruguay rivers respectively. Of the total length of 215 km, the first 65 km were dirt roads, and in the remaining 145 km, the province has intervened on them, with paving works in the sections Sauce - Curuzú Cuatiá (which concerns us here) and Curuzú Cuatiá - Bonpland (R.N. Nº 14).

This reconstruction and resurfacing work is directly related to and complements the paving of the dirt road section from R.N. Nº 12 (south of Esquina) to SAUCE, with the project completed and in the process of obtaining international financing, thus forming the Southern Road Corridor of the Province, which will serve regional, national and international traffic.
