National Route Nº 119 is of great significance for passenger land transportation. Numerous bus lines run along it, linking the cities of Asunción (Paraguay), Formosa, Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña, Resistencia and Corrientes with the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and its metropolitan area.
With reference to cargo transportation, several basalt quarries are located nearby, which are used for the production of crushed stone aggregate for commercial use throughout the central-northern part of the Argentine Littoral.
These quarries supply an important number of works that the Dirección Nacional de Vialidad has underway in this part of the country.
Finally, it should be noted that from the very moment of the complete habilitation of the Mesopotamian Highway (May 2014), there has been a sustained increase in the total number of vehicles circulating along National Route No. 119. travel time shortening and the drop in accident rates, which the new road has made possible.that the new road has made possible.
