Resurfacing and widening of existing roadway on Provincial Route N° 41.

The project consists of the resurfacing and widening of the existing roadway and the construction of the second roadway of R.P.Nº 41, developed between the intersection with the new R.N. 7 in the town of San A. de Giles and the intersection with the new R.N. 8 in San A. de Areco.

The existing roadway is to be widened and repaved to comply with the highway category..

The widening of the existing roadway was planned to be carried out on the outer lane, i.e., on the inner side of the highway. This configuration is more beneficial than widening on both sides, since the longitudinal joint between structures is subjected to smaller traffic, thus maximizing the service life. 

There are two large sections in the project, one corresponds to a section with a New Jersey type separator, which seeks to reduce the basic width of the project due to space restrictions. Another section is with an earthen flower bed, which leaves a separation between roadways of approximately 11m.
